For those interested in concert music, Symphonic Band can be taken all year for A-G Fine Arts credit. Fall Season requires membership in the marching band for home football games, but no summer or after school practices. Marching Band members become the Symphonic Band once fall season has ended and earn an A-G Fine Arts credit for Spring Semester. From December – June, the band performs concerts at school, attends and performs at festivals, and studies solo and small ensemble literature. The band also combines with the string orchestra to perform symphonic music from classical to movie soundtracks.
